Chester Needs a Home Where She is the Only Cat.

Video of Chester:

Heather rescued a cat that she named Chester in her neighboorhood, Inwood.

I found Chester one night while walking home. A man was walking behind me and noticed her too. She walked up to me and just stood looking at me like, "Well, what now?" The man asked if it was my cat and I told him it wasn't. He said, "Well, it looks like my sons cat. Snake, is that you? Snake? Snake?! Nope, that's not Snake." The man walked away.

Coming towards us was another man walking his two pitbulls. Chester looked at them and then at me and had that same look on her face, "Well, what now?" Fortunately the man with the dogs saw what was going on and crossed the street.

However, I had already decided to pick her up and take her home. I put her in my bathroom since I could not have her near Augie before her being check out by the vet. The next day, I took her to the vet and she was diagnosed with FIP and anemia. I was told to try and get her to gain weight and by all means, keep her away from Augie. The vet said, her best bet was to be adopted by someone who would keep her indoors and not have any other cats as FIP is contagious.  Contagious to other cats but not humans or other animals.

After a week, I took Chester back to the vet and her anemia was gone and she had gained a pound. Her energy was also much improved. The vet was very pleased. Chester is a super affectionate, lovable and talkative little girl. I wish more than anything that I could keep her, but I cannot risk Augie getting FIP. I just want her to have a good home where she will be loved and taken care of the way she deserves.
