John with his animal friend Margo seemed happy after getting out of the dog run. I asked him if I could take a photo of Margo to be featured on this site and he was happy to oblige. When I knelt down to take her photo, she backed off a bit and felt threatened.
Why did you get a boxer?
When I was researching dogs, I wanted one that was good in a smaller environment and that dog didn't bark. Boxers and Boston terriers came up as one that don't bark, she never barks.
Among the litter why did you pick Margo?
She was the smallest. She's smallest I've heard of a female boxer, she's about 55, 60 pounds. Normally, they are about 80.
Then I asked if he wanted a picture with Margo. And he agreed. This time, Margo was relaxed.
Is she your first dog?
My first on my own. I've had dogs as a kid when I was growing up.
And how's that so far?
Oh great! We've been together almost three years. I got her at 12 weeks.
What's her personality like?
She's a little skiddish at first, as you can see with the pictures. But she's extremely loving and she gets attached real fast. With kids, she's really good.
John has a warm and approachable personality in contrast to Margo who can be shy in the beginning. These two seem to complement each other very well!
