Huskies are strikingly handsome dogs. Joe was just stepping out of the dog run near the Intrepid Museum, when I asked if I can feature his Husky on this site. I found out that the dog's name is Rush.
Where did you get Rush?
We got him from a breeder in Middletown, Connecticut.
Why did you get a Husky?
My buddy had a Husky and I always liked Huskies.
How is he taking the warmer weather?
Good! He's been totally fine. He just finished shedding. That sucked! He's done now. Now it's the regular amount of shedding. It's quite a lot of fur. You can probably still find a piece. (He ran his hand on Rush's back and picked up some fur) See that? That's a tiny bit. It used to come off in clumps, from legs all the way up.
How often does he shed?
Twice a year. They shed all the time a little bit. He sheds his coat twice a year.
So he was fluffier?
He was a lot fluffier.
What's his personality like?
He's awesome! He's very quiet, mild-mannered. Very friendly, I don't think I've ever seen him bite anything. He rips his toys apart but never other dogs, people. I pick him up by his back legs sometimes, and carry him around - just to mess with him.
When I took his pictures, he seemed very distracted and kept turning his head and gazing around. Joe said, "It's his first time in the city. We're from Stamford, Connecticut.".
And it was great day too to be in the city!
