On a nice sunny day in Manhattan, Pat was walking her stunning black and white dog. I knew I had to feature them for this site.
What breed is he?
He's a sheltie. He's the least common color of sheltie.
Where'd you get him?
I got him from a rescue near Poughkeepsie. He's a part of a large batch of dogs that was rescued from a breeder who's gotten into some legal trouble and had to get rid of the dogs.
May I ask why you got a dog?
(Letting out a chuckle) I've always had a dog. I can't imagine not having one.
Why did you choose him over the other dogs?
He was a character. He was really eager to keep up with the big dogs. He was four months old at that time and he wanted to do everything with the big dogs.
What other characteristics does he have?
He is totally food oriented. He'll do anything for food. First thing he wants to know when he meets you, if you have food in your pocket.
He knows what the TV theme music is at the end, when you are going to get up. So he comes running to the living room to see if you are going to get him some food. He recognizes all of the theme music.
That's his queue that he'll get some food.
That's what he thinks. It doesn't always work out.
That's amazing that Duffy can recognize the TV tunes, I can't even remember the episode from last week.
