Gina was rescued in Lousiana right after Hurricane Katrina hit the region.  Only a couple of months old, she and her brother were found scavenging for food in an alley.  Her brother got adopted first. She was adopted a few weeks later and was brought to New York City.

This was 12 years ago, and she is now a senior dog and have been living a comfortable life in NYC.  She definitely loves her walks in Central Park!
