Monty Likes Birds
Monty an English pointer was shaking when he saw the pigeons at a park in Midtown West. His human companion said, "He likes birds.".
She added, "We go to our house upstate on the weekends. And we had a bird fly into our house one night. And he caught it in his mouth. He didn't kill it. He has a very soft mouth. And my husband and I were freaking out.".
Even though the English pointers were bred as gun dogs and used to catch rabbits and birds, they are are even-tempered and congenial dogs. It is true with Monty who was gentle and kept approaching me while I took his pictures.
When asked his guardian, why they picked Monty, she replied, "The breeders in Virginia were very particular about their dogs. And they assign the dogs to people based on what they knew about the people's circumstances and what their personalities. And so given that we live in New York City and he is pretty extroverted. They decided that he would probably be a good fit for us.".
She looked happy while walking her dog at the park that day. The breeder made the right choice to match them.
