Lucky, The Lucky & Laid Back Cat!
Barry has a 17-year-old male cat named Lucky. He was adopted from a shelter sometime in March of 1999.
How did you know he was the right pet for you?
When I met him and his brother at the shelter, they were both very sweet and curious. Not afraid at all.
Do you have a cute/funny story about him that you want to share?
The first week I adopted Lucky, he disappeared for 6 days in my 1 bedroom apartment. On the 6th day, I heard him meow. Long story short, he had wedged himself behind the kitchen cabinets and couldn't get out, and was too afraid to call out for help! He's been fine ever since.
What's his personality like?
He's probably the most laid back cat I've ever met. He loves belly rubs & deep massages. Loves getting brushed, and will let anyone pick him up. A very gentle soul.
I had the pleasure of pet-sitting Barry's animal friends, Lucky and Penelope, one weekend. Lucky has diabetes now and has to get insulin shots. At first, I was hesistant to give him the insulin shots. He was also the biggest house cat I've ever seen. But when I injected the insulin, he didn't even react. It's as if nothing happened.
He is definitely very calm and gentle. Barry is lucky to have such a sweet cat and Lucky is lucky to have Barry all these years.
