Toto and Paul are Codependent
Elke was busy with three small dogs but she was kind to sit down for an interview about her animal companions.
I learned that the beige shaggy dog is Toto, the chihuahua is Paul and she was dog-sitting her friend's dog, Cocoa. Cocoa sometimes stays with them when her pet parent is away.
So what's Toto like?
At first when we adopted him, he really had issues, I think he was abandoned. He was very difficult, growled and snapped at everyone. We had a trainer who trained us on how to train him. He got better throughout the years. The first few years, he wouldn't let strangers touch him. It's been 9 years now.
Tell me about Paul
My son wanted a chihuahua and we got him for his 9th birthday. I still have to take care of the dogs. Paul basically copies everything that Toto does because we had Toto when Paul came in as a puppy. He's very mellow.
I am glad we got Paul. Toto doesn't have to be home alone, when my son is at school and I am working. These two are very codependent. I just couldn't take one away.
Then Coco jumped off the bench but the two remained together. It seemed that two were inseparable.
